Congratulations Sergey, on the birth of your new Shamray Custom Shop instrument (serial number CS 0086)!
We will post pictures of it's construction-in-progress from time to time here in this thread.
The SPEC:
CRAFTER: DMITRY SUSHKOV
Body: Hollowbody. Custom shape Maple with flamed maple carved top.
Neck: 2 Necks ! (Each is a 5-piece laminate)
One will be a 10-string guitar, the other a 4-string sitar with 12 (fretless) drone strings.
Ebony fingerboards.
The remaining specification details will be developed during the building process... |

Very cool; Will the shape be "lute" like, as his "old" one was? And will it truly be a 10 string, or will it be an 8 string with two octave strings on a couple of the strings like on the "old guitar" ? I am very intrigued by this, hopefully I will learn a few things from this build  |
